Coach's Comments: It has been three years since both the boys and girls won Sectional Championships(2010). Since then, all but two athletes (Greg Bogdan and Victoria Opalka)from those teams have graduated and thus 2013 will be a season of youth and rebuilding. On the girls side we have six returning runners and the boys have four. Of these returning runners only two are seniors. Despite this I remain optimistic. What we lack in youth and experience we make up for in talent. The girls team is very talented and deep. They also seem very eager to return our team back to the level it once was. If they can adjust to running the longer distance varsity requires, work together, and believe in themselves I am certain this could be among the best teams Broadalbin-Perth has ever had. The boys side, unfortunately, lacks numbers. We have some promising young talent but will have to develop a few more in order to be competitive as a team. Greg Bogdan will be responsible for this and, in the process, he will try to earn a third trip to the New York State Championship. Three years is a long time between sectional championships and this team understands that. Hopefully they will show how much they understand this on a daily basis.
