Broadalbin-Perth Cross Country

Today was an exceptional day for our program. The girls once again established themselves as a serious contender as our young squad finally started to let their talent show. Last season many of these same girls let their confidence get in the way of their potential. Thus, the goal going into this season was to be mentally tougher. Today the girls did just that. They went above my expectations as all ran 1- 3 minutes better than they did a year ago. 5 in the top 18 is something to be very proud of. On the boys side our lack of numbers showed. However, the five who did race ran extremely well. Greg showed that he is a legitimate threat in any race and my younger boys showed that they can handle the varsity distance. I am confident this team will continue to get better as the season progresses.
