Today was a very good day for our entire program as a whole. Running without one of our top 5 girls (Sarah Naple) our team was still able to rise to the challenge as they brought home their 2nd title in a row. Going into today's meet I was nervous that the girls would let Sara's absence effect their performance. Luckily for me and them it did, but in a good way. The girls really stepped up as each girl looked to fill the void. The girls are gaining confidence in themselves and, more importantly, in each other. There is still room for improvement, but if they can keep believing as they did today and continue to run as one they might just discover how good they really are. On the boys side we showed much improvement. Greg Bogdan ran a very patient race and was able to finish 2nd behind a solid Jordan Healy of Maple Hill. More importantly, our other runners showed some guts as all ran big P.R.s. Like the girls, they are gaining confidence with each race and, as a result, I am confident we will be better than many predict us come sectionals.
