Broadalbin-Perth Cross Country

After a disappointing 3rd place showing at Guilderland last Saturday we responded nicely this week and once again ran like the team we know we are capable of being. The two points we lost by last week served as a motivator as the girls ran determined to make certain that those two points turned in our favor. Our pack running ensured this and our two point loss from a week ago turned into a 61 point victory. From our number one runner to our number 14 we are showing growth and a renewed sense of team. It is this team mentality that makes me very optimistic about what this season will bring! On the boys side we once again showed vast improvement and are starting to build back to the program we once were. Our returners summer efforts are starting to show and our young guys are gaining valuable experience with each race. We actually had 2 freshman run in their first varsity race and do so with much success. I am certain that as the season progresses and we gain even more experience this team will start to surprise many when team results are posted.
