Broadalbin-Perth Cross Country

Today we opened our Foothills'' Council league season with an impressive effort from both our boys and girls squads. On the girls side we ran in nice packs and nearly scored a perfect 15. Our top five continue to race very well and more importantly our girls behind them are closing the gap. On the boys side we came up a bit short but I couldn't be more proud f this young team. We have not beaten Scotia since 2010 and, in fact, haven't even been close in recent years. Today, though, we started to realize our potential and actually were leading at the half way point of the race. Our inexperience showed down the stretch, but I am convinced that as the season progresses, success and wins will follow.
