Broadalbin-Perth Cross Country

Today was a good first meet for us. The boys ran in a nice pack and finished with some impressive early season times. Our fourth place finish was disappointing. However, it didn’t really reflect how we truly did as a team. Due to a small field, teams we would have beat got the upper hand. Had this been a typical 20 plus team meet we would have finished much higher. Our pack would have ensured this as we put six runners in front of any teams fifth. On the girls side our youth showed. Despite this, they ran well and leave me optimistic about our future. As they gain experience and confidence, our results will improve.
